Encouragement for Single Parents Part 2
Isaiah 40:30,31 "Even youths shall faint and be weary, and young men shall fall exhausted; but they who wait for the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings like eagles; they shall run and not be easy; they shall walk and not faint."
When I think of a lot of energy, I think of the time (way back) when I was a young man. I still think (in my mind) that I am a young man but when I begin to run around and play sports, like when I was a young man...I am faced with the stark reality that I NO LONGER have the energy of a young man. I watch my 9 year old son run around and play, jumping from one skateboard to another to running to Karate, to golf and he never tires.
But God's word reminds us that even young men will grow weary. No matter who we are or where we are, we will at some point grow weary. Maybe it is a custody battle. Maybe it is waiting on the love of your life to sweep you off of your feet, maybe it is a job, maybe it is an illness, maybe it is.......anything. The fact is, we all grow weary.
For those who wait on the Lord, there is a special blessing. For those who wait on the Lord and press into Him, there is Hope. For those who wait on the Lord and depend on Him as their spouse, father, and savior, there is comfort. For those who wait on the Lord, there is healing. God is the source of our strength therefore God is the source of renewing our strength as well. The only way to have the Godly resilience we need it difficult seasons is to abide in the everlasting God (vs. 28) the Creator God (vs. 28) and the Tireless God (vs. 28).
God knows your name. He IS going to give you the strength to persevere. I do not know what is going on in your life today but GOD IS BIGGER and GOD's GOT THIS! Fly today! Run Today! Walk Today! Be encouraged today!
