God is listening...
Psalm 86:5-7 "For you, O Lord, are good and forgiving, abounding in steadfast love to all who call upon you. Give ear, O Lord, to my prayer; listen to my plea for grace. In the day of my trouble I call upon you, for you answer me."
What do you know about God and how does what you know about God impact your daily life? We say that we know that God is good, forgiving, and abounding in steadfast love. But do we truly believe that? I ask that question because it seems as if we truly believed these things about God that our believe would impact our behavior.
We are going to face hardship and trouble. We cannot escape that because we live in a world where sin rules. The evil one has full dominion over the earth but praise be to God that this is only the case temporarily. One day the Trumpet of the Lord will sound and we will meet Messiah in the air. He will then deal with sin ultimately and finally, establish the new Heaven and New Earth, and we will dwell with him forever times forever for all eternity. When we grow tired and when bad things happen, it is necessary to please to God for grace. He is the only one who can grant us grace and He uses His Holy Spirit, He uses His word and He also uses other people in our lives to administer that grace. It is our job to stay in the community of other believers, in His word, and in His Will. When all of these factors are in sync, there is peace and a deep joy which can surpass all understand in all situations....it's supernatural.
Question for you today. Do you truly believe in the attributes of God and do those beliefs impact your behavior? Are you abiding in Christ, His word, and in HIs Biblical Community? Be encouraged today!
