I'm A Gentile
Matthew 12:18-21 "Behold, my servant whom I have chosen, my beloved with whom my soul is well pleased. I will put my Spirit upon him, and he will proclaim justice to the Gentiles. He will not quarrel or cry aloud, nor will anyone hear his voice in the streets; a bruised reed he will not break, and a smoldering wick he will not quench, until he brings justice to victory; and in his name the Gentiles will hope."
I'm a Gentile...which means...I'm not a Jew. The Messiah came to the Jew first and then to the Gentile. Romans 1:16 clearly reminds us of that. But the Messiah, Jesus Christ, did not only come for the Jew and then switch to plan B when the Jews rejected Him. No, ALL people were on the heart of Christ and it was and is His desire that ALL would come to know the saving God that He is.
God has never acted haphazardly or without a plan. It is who He is. To know that I was on the very heart of God from the very beginning. To know that God had my name on His mind when He was creating a plan to rescue me from eternal separation from Himself is knowledge that completely blows my mind. I am no different than you, whoever you are, wherever you are reading this devotional this morning. I am not special...WE are all special in God's eyes, significant, and have been purchased for a price.
I am so glad that God had a plan for the Gentiles....and I don't know how it is all going to pan out in the end, but I don't believe that God is finished with the Jews just yet either....
