2 Corinthians 9:8,9 And God is able to make all grace abound to you, so that having all sufficiency in all things at all times, you may abound in every good work. As it is written “He has distributed freely, he has given to the poor; his righteousness endures forever.”
To continue from yesterday’s devotional…
How did you answer the question? What did you need to give to God and did you do it or at least begin the process? For some this is financial and for others it’s something else. Remember, we can’t pay attention to giving financially and then be disobedient in every other area and we can’t be obedient in every other area and forget to give financially. It’s all of the above. The question that arises when are on this journey of surrender is this, “Can I trust God?” Then natural question which follows that one is this, “Do I?”
How do you know if you trust God? What are you currently worrying about? Are you fearful about anything? Is there anything that you are talking to others about and you still haven’t taken it to God? Do you have a short fuse right now? Are you frustrated inside, and that frustration is impacting people outside?
Listen, this devotional isn’t about beating you up. This devotional is diagnostic in nature. God wants you to abound in every good work, so if you are not abounding, then something is not right, and it can be corrected. In my experience most things can be corrected by giving them over to God. God’s God this and if you can trust Him with your salvation then you can trust Him with today.
When I focus on passaged such as this, I am faced with REAL TRUTH. God wants me to abound. God wants to distribute freely. The key for me to walk in this TRUTH is surrender. God, I give you more and more of me so that you can fill me with everything that is you….
