"Psalm 20:6 Now I know that the LORD saves his
anointed; he will answer him from his holy heaven with the saving
might of his right hand. 7 Some trust in chariots and some in horses, but we trust
in the name of the LORD our God."
This is a beautiful Psalm of promise. Fact: God hears
the prayers of His children and He will answer them. This Psalm of Trust,
Promise and Deliverance was written 100's of years before Jesus came as the
Messiah. The point isn't always "when" God answers but rather
"He DOES answer."
Many times, when we are in the process of waiting on God, we
begin to look around to find comfort or direction through other things. In this
particular instance, chariots and horses were the distraction. If you had an
amazing horse and a strong chariot you were seen as wealthy,
powerful, indestructible, and a leader. This provided a false sense of
security then, just as finding hope through a new car or a big house does
When those around you are chasing after things that are here
today and gone tomorrow, what are you focused on? What are you trusting? Are you o.k. with waiting on God to show up and show off or are you spiritually ADHD?
Waiting is tough, but it is so rewarding.
Trust God today and be encouraged!
